Custom programming is the same, but how you get it, is Not
When researching custom programming, you'll find that most custom programmers claim the same thing - improved power, improved fuel economy, and improved drivability. You'll also find they all require you to remove your PCM. However, only Trifecta Performance can offer custom programming to your specifications, AND the convenience of using a hand-held programmer to install the custom program, without the high cost of a hand-held programmer.
Unspoken Risks
PCM swapping is the traditional way of receiving custom programming, but it presents many risks, as well: bent or broken pins on the PCM connector, PCM damage in shipping, crank relearn problems, and static damage. Sometimes the PCM is very difficult to get to. In other cases, customers wishing to keep their cars totally original, with the original PCM find they must deal with downtime while they ship their PCM off.
What Happens if you DO have a Problem?
Usually custom programming goes smoothly. But what if you run into a problem after you've installed your new PCM? Maybe your CHECK ENGINE light is on? Trifecta Performance's GT Tuner also includes a code scanner feature to help track down issues that may arise. And, Trifecta Performance can email you a modified custom program if, for some reason, the program needs to be modified. If you're doing a PCM swap, you're shipping the PCM back to the custom programmer if you need a programming change.
"So simple, it's stupid"
That's what one of our customers said. How easy is the GT Tuner to use? You turn it on, tap the screen, plug it in to your car, and in 10 minutes the car is programmed. That's it.
How exactly does the Trifecta Tuning program work?
You place your order with us, and we will contact you within 1 business day of your order. We will need the modifications to your car, and your VIN number. The reason we need your VIN number is because when building the tune, we actually are able to get your factory tune. This allows the tune that you will receive to be the most accurate. Once you receive your tune and upload it to your car, we then ask you to return the GT Tuner or cables within a 7 day time period of receiving it unless other arrangements were made ahead of time. In the result of you not returning the GT Tuner we will charge your credit card an additional $250. KRS Performance or Vince (the owner of Trifecta) have not had to go to this extreme yet so please make sure you don't become the person to ruin it for others.
